Rodney Reed

When we first reported on Rodney Reed on our podcast, it seemed liked no one knew about the story and frankly it is one of our lesser listened to shows. Regardless, it was an important subject to talk about as the more we investigated it the more it seemed unlikely that Rodney was involved, or at least there were too many things that happened that made it appear he was railroaded. We all became a little panicky as the days rolled by and all of the sudden we were in the month of October and nothing. Then Dr. Phil got involved.

Dr. Phil will be doing his show on Rodney Reed, October 10 and 11th. Finally, Dr. Phil will be able to bring attention to this case like no other. You can go to Dr. Phil’s Facebook page and see his posts on Rodney Reed that he personally has done.

We believe that the fact that Dr. Phil is backing Rodney Reed says a lot. He posted a video on his Facebook page where he stated the Innocence Project reached out to tell them about Rodney.

We will be hosting a Watch Party Today and Tomorrow and invite you to come watch. You can go to this link and show your interest and also watch the show starting at 2:45 p.m. central time.

Behind the scenes on the Rodney Reed case

The Rodney Reed case was one of the first podcasts we did. Listen here. Rodney is on death road and is scheduled to be executed on November 20, 2019.

We were able to go to the location in Bastrop, Texas and drive the route we believe the murderer took to “dump” Stacey Stites body. This gave us a whole new perspective on what possibly happened, which we shared with everyone on the podcast. We in turn hope this gave a new perspective to those that have heard of this story, and brought interest to the story for those that have not heard of the story, and to consider that Rodney Reed is innocent of murdering Stacey Stites.

While researching the story, we tried many times to get an okay to visit Rodney in prison. We talked with Rodney’s mother, Sandra. We got the okay from the Prison authorities, who then passed our request on to Rodney. Rodney sent us a message that he wanted us to talk with his attorney first. We reached out to his attorney and waited several weeks. Finally the attorney spoke with us, so she could assimilate who we were and our intentions. She stated she would let us know and we are still waiting for her reply. Then on October. 4, we found out that Dr. Phil was able to talk with Rodney at the prison and the show will be airing on October 10 and 11. Although we would have rather of talked with Rodney ourselves, we are glad that Dr. Phil was able to and will be watching.

Behind the scenes on the Greenwood case

Our goal at Crime Time is not to only give you shows about trending crime and missing stories but also to do investigating and research on stories you may not have heard before. By using social media and tips for sources we are able to give you information on stories that you won’t hear anywhere else.

Currently we are working on the Greenwood story. David Greenwood was arrested when a body was found on his property. Click here to read the full story. While working on the story we suspected (and was later confirmed by sources) that the David Greenwood arrested was also the same David Greenwood that admitted, along with his brother, William, to murdering Lucille Deborde, 14, and Diana Rose Hall, 30, in 1978. Since the story ran we have received more information from sources that wish to not be identified.

We did a podcast on that story, which including reading the letter we received from the Greenwood family. After that show we received more information from sources that also wished to not be identified. With that we have realized there is much more to this story that the public knows and the public should be aware of it all and are intentions are to develop the story to share with you.

This will take time and we appreciate your patience as we develop the story.
